2. Issuance of Veterinary Health Certificate (VHC) for Livestock, Fowls and Pets
The issuance of Veterinary Health Certificate for animals and animal products to be shipped outside the municipality is necessary as stipulated in the Philippine Animal Welfare Act of 1998 (RA 8485) to assure that the animal/s or animal products are disease free and safe for transport . This is to avoid possible spread of diseases to their final destination All live animal traders, meat and meat products shippers are required to secure veterinary health certificate. Also, citizens who are engaged in the transport of live animals either as breeder, market or slaughter purposes and meat products passing through the municipality are required to obtain this certificate.
